CANCELLATIONS / FORFEITS
- ALL TEAM MUST GIVE NOTICE BY NOON OF GAME DAYS. CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THE WEBSITE PRIOR TO MATCHES FOR GAME TIMES.
- IF NOTICE IS GIVEN BEFORE NOON ON GAME DAY, LEAGUE MANAGEMENT WILL ATTEMPT TO SCHEDULE A MAKE-UP GAME (NOT GUARANTEED).
- IF NOTICE IS GIVEN AFTER NOON ON GAME DAY, YOUR TEAM WILL FORFEIT ALL WINS TO OPPONENTS. NO MAKE-UP GAME WILL BE SCHEDULED.
- FORFEIT TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REF FEES OF BOTH TEAMS ($20), PRIOR TO STARTING NEXT SCHEDULED MATCH.
- IF (2) INSTANCES OF IMPROPER NOTICE ARE LOGGED BY (1) TEAM, LEAGUE MANAGEMENT WILL REVIEW REASONS FOR THE PATTERN. IF REASONS ARE INCONSISTENT WITH THE BEST INTEREST OF THE LEAGUE, YOUR TEAM FACES POTENTIAL EXPULSION FROM THE LEAGUE AND ALL PAID FUNDS ARE FORFEITED.
TEAM / ROSTER REQUIREMENTS
- 6-PERSON COED TEAMS MUST HAVE (2) WOMEN MINIMUM (NO MAXIMUM). IF (1) WOMAN IS ON THE COURT AT BEGINNING OF PLAY, ONLY (3) MEN ARE ALLOWED TO PLAY
- 4-PERSON COED TEAMS MUST HAVE (1) WOMAN MINIMUM (NO MAXIMUM). IF NO WOMEN ARE ON THE COURT, GAME IS CONSIDERED A FORFEIT
- ALL TEAM PLAYERS MUST REGISTER ONLINE AND ACCEPT THE WAIVER. NO WAIVER = NO PLAY.
- PRELIMINARY ROSTER DUE BEFORE WEEK 1. FINAL ROSTER DUE BEFORE WEEK 4. ONLY ROSTERED PLAYERS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PLAYOFFS.
- WE DO NOT REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF GAMES PLAYED, BUT DO REQUIRE PROPER ROSTER ETIQUETTE.
GAMES AND SCORING
- TEAMS PLAY (3) GAMES OF RALLY SCORING TO 21, CAP AT 23.
- PLAYOFFS ARE A BEST OF 3, SINGLE ELIMINATION FORMAT. GAMES TO 21 (NO CAP), ALL GAME 3s TO 15 (NO CAP)
- GAME TIMES ARE EVERY 50 MINUTES. TEAMS MUST BE READY AND ON THE COURT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MATCH OR RISK LOSING POINTS OR MATCH FORFEIT (REFEREE DISCRETION).
- EACH TEAM HAS (1) TIME OUT PER GAME (3 PER MATCH). TEAMS MUST STAY ON THE COURT DURING TIMEOUTS.
- THERE IS A BREAK BETWEEN GAMES 2 & 3 ONLY. PLAYERS MUST NOT LEAVE THE COURT BETWEEN GAMES 1 & 2.
RULES OF PLAY
ALL LEAGUES:
- REFEREE WILL DETERMINE SERVE OR SIDE PREFERENCE TO BEGIN EACH MATCH. SAME APPLIES FOR GAME 3.
- LET SERVES ARE LEGAL (BALL HITTING NET AND LANDING ON OPPONENTS SIDE DURING THE SERVE)
- YOU CANNOT BLOCK/ATTACK THE SERVE
- NET VIOLATIONS AT ANY TIME ARE ILLEGAL. PLAY IS OVER, POINT AWARDED TO OPPOSING TEAM.
- YOU MAY GO UNDER THE NET (PARTIAL BODY) DURING PLAY BUT CANNOT MAKE CONTACT WITH OPPOSITION.
- OPEN HAND RECEIVING OF SERVES OR FIRST BALL IS LEGAL.
- KICKING IS LEGAL.
RECREATIONAL (NOVICE) LEVEL:
WE CONSIDER "REC" A BEGINNER OR NOVICE LEVEL TYPE OF LEAGUE. OUR REFEREES ARE INSTRUCTED TO CALL

POWER LEVEL:
WE CONSIDER "POWER" TO BE THE ULTIMATE TEST. HIGH QUALITY, LEVEL OF PLAY. OUR REFEREES ARE INSTRUCTED TO CALL:
